Last week we celebrated ‘National  Small Business Week’ which is an annual celebration of over 28 million small businesses in the United States. For almost 60 years the Small Business Administration (SBA) has been helping small businesses get their start by offering a wide range of services. From roots that date back to the 1930’s, the SBA’s focus has been to make sure that small businesses can participate and stay competitive in the marketplace.  We often hear that “Small businesses are the backbone of the U.S. economy” which is very true.  Small businesses represent about 99.7 percent of all the businesses in the U.S. They are trailblazers and tend to attract more entrepreneurial and innovative thinkers.  Having an impact on the daily lives of a community, the economic activity and employment created by small business cannot be compared. We at HBC work with small business owners to help expand their business with the purchase of new property, provide funds for PIP renovations, or refinance loans to improve monthly cash flow.  Our goal is to always support and assist the small business owner with the growth and long term success of their business.
